The Page of Swords.

Posted on 15 May, 2019 at 4:40 Comments comments (0)

We have another Page today from the Witches Tarot, this time from the suit of Swords. There appears to be a theme developing this week with the two Pages, plus one of them being the same suit as yesterday's Ace, so the messages have a continuity to them. This Page has similar amounts of enthusiasm and energy at Monday's one, but this time concentrates it more in the area of thoughts and communication. He has a very determined look about him, as though he really wants to get stuck in and get t...

The Ace of Swords.

Posted on 14 May, 2019 at 4:20 Comments comments (0)

The Ace of Swords is our card today from the Witches Tarot. Swords are connected to the element of air in this deck, relating to thoughts, communication and the intellect. Being the Ace of the suit, this shows us the potential that's available to us, the possibilities we could be tapping into and what we can be making the most of in our lives. How many times do we wake up in the morning with a list of things to do, ideas we want to get on with or plans we're hoping to fulfil? Then, how many ...

The Page of Wands.

Posted on 13 May, 2019 at 5:25 Comments comments (0)

I'm using the Witches Tarot by Ellen Dugan and Mark Evans for the next couple of weeks, and today's card is the Page of Wands. This Page looks to be extremely happy and full of energy. He appears to be excited about the trip he's going on with his cat, looking forward to the adventures he's hoping will come his way. He's full of energy and drive and doesn't want to be held back or to wait around while plans for his trip are being made. This is like the feeling we have when we have a new job, ...

The Magician.

Posted on 9 May, 2019 at 4:30 Comments comments (0)

The Magician from the Tarot of the Sweet Twilight shows a scene centred on the Magician who is surrounded by magical instruments and tools that can help him do his job. There are books in the background that he's likely to have studied in the past, plus he can refer to them if needed in the future. This relates to knowledge and power; we need to study, learn and practice our skills, talents and crafts in order to make the most of them and be able to use them to their full potential. We'll nev...

The 6 of Swords.

Posted on 8 May, 2019 at 5:25 Comments comments (0)

The 6 of Swords from the Tarot of the Sweet Twilight shows a blindfolded angel being carried to a destination unknown to her. She also has shackles on her wrists, ensuring she won't be able to remove herself from this vessel, and so she has no option but to see this journey through. Much as she isn't able to escape, whether this is due to keeping her there against her will or for her own safety is debatable. She may not want to go this way, but it could be something she has to do, and deep do...

The 5 of Wands.

Posted on 7 May, 2019 at 5:25 Comments comments (0)

I'm still using the Tarot of the Sweet Twilight this week, and today's card for us is the 5 of Wands. The girls in this picture all appear to be at odds with each other. It could be that they're meant to be working together or towards the same goal, but in reality it seems as though they're all just doing their own thing, and probably not getting very far with it either! If they stopped, spent some time on preparation and discussion regarding the best way forwards and then carried on again, b...

The 10 of Chalices.

Posted on 3 May, 2019 at 4:20 Comments comments (0)

The 10 of Chalices is a lovely card for us to end the week on- it relates to contentment, happiness and balance as we (hopefully) can spend time with the people we love and care about over the weekend. If not, they'll be in our thoughts and we can reminisce about the good times and think about what we're going to do when we see them next. For those of us in a relationship it can be useful to contemplate what our partner means to us, how we compliment each other and what our differences are- n...

The 9 of Swords.

Posted on 2 May, 2019 at 6:00 Comments comments (0)

The 9 of Swords from the Tarot of the Sweet Twilight shows a forlorn picture of a girl crying on her bed in the middle of the night. She has her hands in the “prayer” position, willing her worries to get better or hoping they won't be as terrible as she imagines them to be. This card usually looks worse than it the situation it's about, reminding us that not all our worries will come to fruition. Sometimes we blow matters up out of proportion, we may assume the worst case scenario...

The Devil.

Posted on 1 May, 2019 at 5:15 Comments comments (0)

The Devil is the card with a message from the Tarot of the Sweet Twilight today. The devil often relates to lust, desire & temptation, but also is about being trapped, chained or unable to do what we want freely, so there can be confusing or mixed messages when seeing him. The Devil tries to get us to do the things we want to do, but that we may secretly be afraid of doing. This can have both good & bad results, depending on how careful we are, how much preparation & research we'v...

The 6 of Chalices.

Posted on 30 April, 2019 at 5:45 Comments comments (0)

I can't keep it tucked away for very long, so out comes the Tarot of the Sweet Twilight again for the next couple of weeks on our page. Today's card is the 6 of Chalices, showing a girl having a tea party with a large bear. This looks to be quite a surreal situation, but then when we were young this is what we did, we made up stories and games that bore little, if any, resemblance to real life, but we enjoyed them nonetheless. This card harks back to the time in our lives when we had fun beca...

The Ace of Cups, King of Pentacles and the 5 of Cups.

Posted on 26 April, 2019 at 6:40 Comments comments (0)

The final cards for us from The Transparent Tarot are the Ace of Cups, the King of Pentacles & the 5 of Cups. We've had the Ace and 5 of Cups previously, so this reminds us to listen to their messages even more than normal. Also of note is how the King of Pentacles takes centre stage here & appears to be the main subject of the reading. Pentacles relate to work, creativity & finances, while the cups either side of the King are from the suit of emotions, feelings & intuition. T...

The Ace of Cups, Knight of Pentacles and the 5 of Swords.

Posted on 25 April, 2019 at 5:00 Comments comments (0)

The Ace of Cups, Knight of Pentacles & the 5 of Swords are the cards making up this picture from The Transparent Tarot today. The Knight is facing the massive cup that has water overflowing from it, offering his pentacle to add to the situation, while the figure with dropped & broken swords is further away & looking down and in the opposite direction. The first two cards appear to be much more positive than the final one, plus they have a much larger presence in the scene depicted...

Justice, the Queen of Wands and the 3 of Wands.

Posted on 24 April, 2019 at 5:55 Comments comments (0)

Justice, the Queen of Wands & the 3 of Wands are the cards with a message for us from The Transparent Tarot today. The Queen is facing towards Justice, showing that she's working in this area to help get matters resolved as fast as possible. The scales of Justice relate to balance, while the sword relates to knowledge & the need to find the truth in the issue that's being dealt with, helping to ensure we have all the information we can get to make sure the right result is obtained. The Hanged One, The Wheel & the Ace of Wands.

Posted on 23 April, 2019 at 8:05 Comments comments (0)

The cards I've drawn for us today from The Transparent Tarot are The Hanged One often known as The Hanged Man), the Wheel (often called The Wheel of Fortune) & the Ace of Wands. I've laid them in a different way together, following on from each other & slightly overlapping, so we can see a different picture than if they were stacked one on top of another.

Starting with The Hanged One, this reminds us to have patience & not to try & rush matters too much, especially with...

5 of Cups, 3 of Swords and The Empress.

Posted on 18 April, 2019 at 4:20 Comments comments (0)

The 5 of cups, 3 of Swords & the Empress are our cards from Emily Carding's Transparent Tarot today. At first glance this can look to be quite a sad situation; one figure is in danger of being harmed by the knives surrounding it, while the other sits and focuses on the cups that have been overturned & their contents lost. These situations are difficult ones & many of us are facing circumstances that can make us feel this way. The 5 of Cups can see us concentrating more of what we'...

The 8 of wands, The Moon & the Page of Pentacles.

Posted on 17 April, 2019 at 5:25 Comments comments (0)

I'm quite busy over the next few weeks with a hectic schedule so I'll post when I can, but don't worry, I haven't disappeared off anywhere :)

I'm using The Transparent Tarot by Emily Carding at present, today drawing 3 cards & overlaying them one on top of the other (there are so many ways you can use this deck- it's amazing). Today's cards are the 8 of Wands, The Moon & the Page of Pentacles. This deck enables the cards to interact with each other in a way that isn't possible ...

The Queen of Bedlam.

Posted on 12 April, 2019 at 4:35 Comments comments (0)

The final card for us from The Heart of Faerie Oracle is the Queen of Bedlam. This Queen is surrounded by an unusual array of creatures; a unicorn in armour, fish with eyes where you don't expect them and a thoughtful looking rabbit sitting on top of another fae member to name a few. She herself has an expression on her face that appears to be somewhere along the lines of not believing what she sees and knowing too well that what's going on around her is very real, even if she doesn't want it...

The Queen of Owls.

Posted on 10 April, 2019 at 4:20 Comments comments (0)

The Queen of Owls is our card from the Heart of Faerie Oracle today, with a bright, shining queen amongst a group of happy looking fae folk. You can tell she radiates love, happiness and kindness from the reaction of those around her, helping them get back on track again, look after themselves and generally see the good in the things around them. The Queen has movement to her; she looks as though she's heading in a particular direction with some purpose, and so this can help us to get going ...

The Heart of Faerie.

Posted on 4 April, 2019 at 6:20 Comments comments (0)

Today's card from the Heart of Faerie Oracle is one of the 3 untitled ones that aren't mentioned in the accompanying book. There's a lot going on here, with the picture full of fae folk going about their business with various expressions on their faces. This has a feeling of busyness about it; things that need to be done all around us and the idea of making sure everything on the never-ending list is dealt with in some shape or form, even if it's just added to a new list to do another day! Th...

The Queen of Hearth and Home.

Posted on 3 April, 2019 at 5:15 Comments comments (0)

We have another Queen imparting wisdom from The Heart of Faerie oracle today- this time it's the Queen of hearth and Home. Home isn't just the place we live or go to at night to sleep, we can create a “home” wherever we are; home is us and what we create. We can be at work, on holiday or in a cafe and the area we inhabit can be made into a homely one where we're comfortable and those around us can feel relaxed in our presence. This ability can take time to craft, so if we don't fe...
