7 of Pentacles.

Posted on 13 February, 2019 at 5:40 Comments comments (0)

The 7 of Pentacles from the Dark Fairytale Tarot shows a woman in a field of blooming flowers, taking some time out from her work & appreciating what she's managed to accomplish to date. Pentacles often relate to our working lives; the things we're working towards & want to make materialise in some way. However, if it's all work & no play we could find we're burning out or aren't making the progress we were expecting, so having a rest can help us to recharge our batteries & gi...

The World.

Posted on 11 February, 2019 at 7:40 Comments comments (0)

The World from the Dark Fairytale Tarot relates to completion; the end of a chapter or journey in our lives. Something has come full circle, taught us the lesson we needed to know or fulfilled its purpose in our lives. This isn't a time for being sad about what we're leaving behind- instead it's more about being be proud of our achievements, being pleased with what we've accomplished & a time to consider what we want to tackle next on our journey through life. Where do we go from here? Th...

2 of Swords.

Posted on 7 February, 2019 at 6:55 Comments comments (1)

The 2 of Swords from the Dark Fairytale Tarot is a static card again for us today, reminding us we don't have to be rushing around all the time or always be doing something active. Our minds need time to think about our circumstances & any choices we need to be concentrating on before we make them if we want to make good long term decisions. Do we go forwards, backwards, stay still or try something completely different? The decisions we have to make may seem to be impossible sometimes, bu...

4 of Swords.

Posted on 6 February, 2019 at 5:45 Comments comments (0)

The 4 of Swords from the Dark Fairytale Tarot shows a quieter scene today. It's time to step back from the chaos of the world around us, to contemplate matters & think about our situation & see if we need to make any changes to it. If we're always busy & on the go we'll never have very much time to properly work out solutions to any problems we have or be able to think about how to make a success of the plans we have in mind. It can be useful to have some quiet time to enable us t...

5 of Wands.

Posted on 5 February, 2019 at 5:40 Comments comments (0)

The 5 of Wands from the Dark Fairytale Tarot shows a scene of people fighting, though the weapons used are unlikely to be as devastating as swords or others could be, so hopefully most of those involved will live to see another day. There is light in the darkness, with orbs glowing at the end of the wands, so maybe someone can “see the light” & stop things before it all gets out of hand. As much as anything else, this doesn't appear to be the most organised way of approaching ...

The Fool.

Posted on 4 February, 2019 at 5:40 Comments comments (0)

I'm using the wonderfully gothic Dark Fairytale Tarot this week, with The Fool being the card with a message for us today. It's apt drawing the first card of the Major Arcana on the first day of the week, the first time I'm using this deck this year as The Fool relates to new beginnings, adventures & possible risks that we may need to take. This heralds the start of a journey, but where we ultimately end up is up to us & the choices we make along the way. We can play it safe, follow a...

The 4 of Pentacles.

Posted on 31 January, 2019 at 6:50 Comments comments (0)

The 4 of Pentacles shows a Gummy Bear holding tight to 3 coin, with a 4th balancing on the crown on his head. He's quite found of keeping control of his finances it seems, especially as he appears to have a routine he's happy with & confident of his methods. We can become comfortable in routine, especially if it's working for us & everything is ticking along nicely, but then where's the excitement or possible progression in life? Will we be prepared to take any risks if an opportunity...

The Gummy Bear giving out Justice looks quite severe; sitting high up with his crown, sword & balancing scales he's a formidable sight for anyone. Even if you hadn't done anything wrong you could start to feel you had! This relates to righteousness, honesty, fairness & generally doing the right thing. Sometimes we may need to make compromises to ensure that these things are achieved, & it's not always an easy pill to swallow, hence the possible uncomfortable feeling. We need to be...

9 and 8 of Swords.

Posted on 29 January, 2019 at 7:15 Comments comments (0)

I was going to draw just 1 card again today, but 2 decided to come out of the deck, namely the 9 & 8 of Swords. Both of these cards look quite painful & that they relate to difficult situations, but on closer inspection we can see the finer details that make us realise the situations aren't quite as bad as they looked at first glance. The 9 of Swords shows a who's just had a nightmare. He wakes up upset & disorientated, expecting the worst to happen, though he's forgetting for th...

I'm using the Gummy Bear Tarot again this week, & Temperance is our card today. There's a liquid flowing between the goblets the angel bear is holding, symbolising the interconnectedness between so many things in our lives & how we need to find the right balance somewhere along the way. Harmony is important, though not always easy to achieve, as are being calm & diplomatic, to help get the most out of life. This encourages us to look at issues in a more balanced & encompassing...

The Page of Wands.

Posted on 24 January, 2019 at 7:25 Comments comments (0)

The Gummy Bear Page of Wands has a message relating to enthusiasm, optimism & creativity. The Page is full of energy, wanting to get going & sees his plans become reality, making the most of any opportunities that come his way. These are good attitudes for us to employ, especially regarding any new projects we may be involved in, or situations where we feel stuck or have lost our impetus. We'll need to try & not be reckless or take too many risks however, as the Page can also rush...

The Queen of Swords.

Posted on 23 January, 2019 at 6:40 Comments comments (0)

The Gummy Bear Queen of Swords has a message relating to communication for us today. This Queen sees things as they clearly are, has experience in dealing with other people & has a strong sense of justice. She's a diplomat, the voice of reason & someone who brings balance to a difficult situation. This can help us to weigh up things before rushing in too fast or doing something we may regret at a later date. It's a reminder to think matters through thoroughly, to read the small print ...

The Hanged Man.

Posted on 22 January, 2019 at 8:00 Comments comments (0)

The Hanged Man (or Gummy Bear!) is our card today, reminding us that sometimes we need to look at things from a different angle before we can really understand them fully. Even if we have quite strong points of view about issues there's no harm in exploring alternatives as this is how we can gain more knowledge, gain new perspectives & possibly even push old viewpoints aside. The quest for knowledge is important if we want to make good choices, plus looking into different aspects of issue...

I've gone for a deck with a light-hearted style this week, The Gummy Bear Tarot, though it still manages to pull a punch & get the message across when needed. Today's card is Strength, showing a bear who has tamed a lion, with an infinity symbol above the bear, indicating this strength & associated capabilities can be long lasting. The bear looks as though it should be weaker than the lion, the underdog even, reminding us that we don't always have to appear to be the strongest or to u...

2 of Swords.

Posted on 17 January, 2019 at 6:15 Comments comments (0)

The 2 of Swords shows a woman with a blindfold sitting on a chair in the middle of a body of water She holds a sword in front of her so looks ready for action, but as she's so static it's unclear at present just what form that action will take. Until she's made a decision she could be stuck there a while it seems. This relates to an area in our lives where we need to weigh up our options & make a choice before we can make much more progress. Swords are the suit of thoughts & communica...

Judgement from the Tarot of the Sweet Twilight shows an angel blowing her trumpet, facing down towards the earth at the graveyard, with roses growing over the headstones. This relates to change in our lives, especially when we're at a significant stage in our life journey. It's a time to think about & reflect on the past & what has led us to this point so that we can make the best choices when moving forwards. A fresh start is heralded, a new path for us to follow that is tied in to e...

7 of Wands.

Posted on 15 January, 2019 at 5:55 Comments comments (0)

The 7 of Wands from the Tarot of the Sweet Twilight shows a woman standing firm with a large cat for company, trying to defend herself against those who would prefer her to move on and be somewhere else. This can encourage us to keep going, even if we feel others are against our ideas or opinions, plus help us to be strong, to stand up for ourselves, our beliefs & our ideas. It's not easy to do our own thing, especially if it differs from “the norm” or what's expected of us, b...

Queen of Swords.

Posted on 10 January, 2019 at 5:30 Comments comments (0)

The Queen of Sword, a woman being burned at the stake in the Tarot of the Sweet Twilight, is our card today, with a message of standing up for what we believe in & speaking our truth, even if the consequences aren't always the best for us. Swords relate to communication & the Queen is a master in this area, having had years of practice to hone her skills. She knows what to say & when to say it & knows that not everyone will agree with or support her. Sometimes, despite knowing...

8 of Chalices.

Posted on 9 January, 2019 at 6:10 Comments comments (0)

The 8 of Chalices from the Tarot of the Sweet Twilight shows a sad looking picture with two people walking in different directions, & not looking particularly happy about doing so. The man holds his hand to his heart, implying this is difficult to do, plus the woman's hair appears to be part of the tree she's moving away from, so hampering her progress. She also holds 2 chalices, one upright & one spilt, again showing her mixed feelings about this situation. Chalices relate to emotion...

The Sun.

Posted on 8 January, 2019 at 6:15 Comments comments (0)

The Sun is smiling on us today with our card from the Tarot of the Sweet Twilight. However, much as we may associate the sun with warmth, contentedness & being happy, some of the faces here aren't as happy as others, reminding us that there are times when we need to go through some tough situations before we're able to arrive at the goal we've been aiming for. Being aware of this can help us get through any difficult times & overcome the obstacles that appear unexpectedly in our way; ...
