The Queen of Wands.

Posted on 15 July, 2019 at 5:35 Comments comments (0)

I'm using the Gummy Bear Tarot for a while. It's light-hearted and fun, but still gives good readings, which is why I come back to using it again and again. Today's card is the Queen of Wands, with the friendly and wise queen sitting on a throne adorned with lions. She holds a staff and sunflower, and has a cat sitting at her feet; symbols of knowledge, growth, intelligence and luck. She's mastered these things in her life, and encourages us to act in a similar way; to be independent, mature,...

The Ace of Cups and the Page of Swords.

Posted on 15 July, 2019 at 5:35 Comments comments (0)

I've drawn 2 cards from the Gummy Bear Tarot for my weekly question: What did I do well in Last week and what do I need to concentrate on this coming week?

The Ace of Cups is my card for what I did well in last week. This shows a chalice above a pond with lily pads floating on its surface. The dove symbolises divine blessing, while the overflowing chalice relates to abundance. This shows I did well on an emotional level last week, looking for new starts in different areas of my life and...

The 5 of Swords.

Posted on 11 July, 2019 at 7:45 Comments comments (0)

The 5 of Swords from the Dark Mansion Tarot shows a dark scene with a masked swordsman walking away from two other people who have been stabbed in the back. The evidence suggests he was responsible for this carnage, and so if this is true he's someone who isn't to be messed around with. This card shows that it can be possible to be successful or win, but if we use underhand techniques to do so then really it's a hollow victory. There's a lot of conflict here, which is probably apparent in man...

The 9 of Cups.

Posted on 10 July, 2019 at 4:50 Comments comments (0)

I drew the 9 of Cups as an extra card for myself today to see how I can encourage abundance into my life. Well, as this is often known as the “wish card” it's not a bad one to have got in response to this question, I think :) This is about following my dreams, doing more of the things I enjoy and get satisfaction from. Interesting, as this was what I was weighing up last week (whether to concentrate on what brings in regular money but is uninspiring, or to follow my heart and do m...

The 3 of Cups.

Posted on 10 July, 2019 at 4:30 Comments comments (0)

The 3 of Cups is today's card for us from the Dark Mansion Tarot. It shows a happy scene with two women and a man socialising and drinking together. There's lots of food on the table, it's lovely weather and the setting is perfect for them. In our busy lives it often seems that keeping in touch with people for social reasons (rather than seeing them in a work related capacity) is more of a luxury nowadays. We're all so busy, despite having so much technology to supposedly lesson our work load...

The Queen of Swords and the 7 of Cups.

Posted on 9 July, 2019 at 6:30 Comments comments (0)

I've drawn two cards again for myself today, one to show what I did well in last week and one advising me what I need to concentrate on this coming week. I've drawn the Queen of Swords for the things I done well in and the 7 of Cups for what I need to concentrate on.

I often identify myself as being similar to the Queen of Swords; being prepared to say what's necessary, being truthful and standing up for those who need an advocate. I filled in the forms I had to do last week (advised b...

The 6 of Wands.

Posted on 9 July, 2019 at 5:35 Comments comments (0)

I'm still using the Dark Mansion Tarot this week as the artwork is so lovely, and today's card is the 6 of Wands, depicting a happy wedding scene. The couple in the picture will have worked hard to get to this point in their lives, overcoming problems and issues before being able to walk down the aisle together. Despite the hardships and setbacks they encountered, they thought it was worth putting in the effort and did all they could to get to this point in their lives, showing everyone what ...

The 7 of Cups.

Posted on 5 July, 2019 at 3:40 Comments comments (0)

The 7 of Cups is the last card of the week for us from the Dark Mansion Tarot, bringing with it lots of choices for us to make over the next few days. The boy looking in the shop window could be overwhelmed by the different options available to him, so it'll be important for him to make his choice wisely and not rush into anything. At first glance these options all look appealing, but on further scrutiny you can see one chalices has a snake wrapped around it, another a ghost haunting it and o...

5 of Cups, 9 of Wands and the Queen of Pentacles.

Posted on 4 July, 2019 at 5:15 Comments comments (0)

Another reading done for myself, this time for the coming month of July and what it holds for me. I've drawn the 5 of Cups, 9 of Wands and Queen of Pentacles. Assuming the woman in the first and last cards is the same one, I'm happy to see that she goes from being upset and unable to see what good could come out of her situation to begin with to being strong, confident and successful in the final card. It appears that the end result depends on getting past the difficult stage in-between where...

The Moon.

Posted on 4 July, 2019 at 4:20 Comments comments (0)

The Moon card from the Dark Mansion Tarot is a scene of darkness and illusions, such as the river becoming a ribbon. By day, with the light of the sun, this landscape would have a very different appearance to at night, especially as this is when the nocturnal creatures come out that we're not as familiar with. Which is the true picture, what version should we go by, is it right to always trust what we can see implicitly? These are questions we need to ask ourselves as the Moon is a reminder t...

The 8 of Cups.

Posted on 3 July, 2019 at 5:55 Comments comments (0)

I drew another card for myself today, this time the 8 of Cups. My question was “What can I do to improve our finances?” Pack up and leave apparently! I suppose there would be one less mouth to feed in the house then :D :P :D Much as this is a card about leaving behind things that mean a lot to us emotionally, I think (hope?! :D ) my family will be pleased to know I won't be leaving them any time soon :) :P :) How to interpret it then? Mmmmm....it's moving on from something in orde...

The 10 of Swords.

Posted on 3 July, 2019 at 5:00 Comments comments (0)

The 10 of Swords from the Dark Mansion Tarot shows a forlorn scene with a skeletal figure buckling under the weight of the swords piercing him. He's holding his head (skull? :) ) in his hands as this relates to issues that worry us or play on our minds causing us upset and distress. The scene is dark and quite barren, symbolising how many of us feel when we find ourselves in this position; it's as though there's no help available to us. Even if there is some aid, we usually fail to see it. On...

The 8 of Wands and The Hierophant.

Posted on 2 July, 2019 at 3:40 Comments comments (0)

I thought I'd share a draw I did for myself; namely a card to show what I did well in last week and one advising me what I need to concentrate on this coming week. I drew the 8 of Wands for what I did well in, and you can see the woman in the picture is dressed as a post-lady, whizzing around on her flying wand getting things done and messages delivered. Rising up above the mundane issues going on below, she has her mind set on the things that are important and urgent. Yes, this pretty much w...

The Magician.

Posted on 2 July, 2019 at 3:05 Comments comments (0)

It's been a bit hectic, so sorry for missing a couple of daily draws, but I'm back again today with the Magician from the Dark Mansion Tarot. The man in this card appears to be a scientist doing research and carrying out experiments, working hard to try and find the results to his questions and see if his ideas will work when put into practice. This is someone who is meticulous in their approach, ensuring they've covered as many probabilities as possible when carrying out their work. To make ...

The 7 of Swords.

Posted on 27 June, 2019 at 3:55 Comments comments (0)

Today's card from the Dark Mansion Tarot is the 7 of Swords showing a thief making his getaway on the city roofs. He looks pleased with himself; even though he's left two of the swords behind he's managed to do a great deal of damage and will have upset several people in the process. This card could be a warning that someone like this is in our lives and that we need to be aware of them and how they could affect us, or if could even be we're the ones taking from others unnecessarily. On many ...

The Page of Cups.

Posted on 26 June, 2019 at 4:55 Comments comments (0)

The Page of Cups from the Dark Mansion Tarot shows a young sailor about to embark on a voyage off to sea. He's inspecting the chalice he's holding, showing he appreciates it as it's something of great value to him. He's excited about his journey, but may be easily distracted by the things he comes across that interest him, so much as he has lots of enthusiasm, it can sometimes be misplaced. This encourages us to follow our dreams, to do the things that drive us and that we're passionate about...

The 4 of Wands.

Posted on 25 June, 2019 at 5:55 Comments comments (0)

Of course I couldn't resist using my new Dark Mansion Tarot deck next on our page, so here it is, and our first card from it is the 4 of Wands. It was our Wedding Anniversary at the weekend, so this card is very apt for us on a personal level, as well as it having a broader message about working for the things we want in life and that are important to us. We need to make commitments in life if we want to see them come about, working towards them and do whatever we can to help us get on the ri...

Amarath Longing.

Posted on 21 June, 2019 at 4:25 Comments comments (0)

The final card from the Victoria Frances Oracle for this outing is Amarath Longing, with the woman in the picture holding a rose in her mouth, allowing the thorns to pierce her lip. Has she been forced to do this or has she inflicted it on herself, like a martyr? However she got to this position, she's likely to be regretting her actions now, but she looks unsure about what to do next. There's a path going up the hill behind her if she turns around, or she may decide to stay where she is and...

Through the Woods.

Posted on 19 June, 2019 at 6:10 Comments comments (0)

Today's card from the Victoria Frances Oracle is Through the Woods, showing a bride running away from her wedding. This is an extremely difficult thing to do, so she must have had good grounds for her actions, showing that if there is something in our lives that doesn't feel right to us we have the strength to change direction and choose a different path instead if we want. It's easy to do what's expected, to follow the example of our friends or family or travel the path we're used to, but it...

Tears for Innocence.

Posted on 18 June, 2019 at 6:00 Comments comments (0)

Tears for Innocence is our card from the Victoria Frances Oracle today. It shows a girl with her childhood toys, but these are broken, so she's upset by what's happened. Many of us will have traumas, upset and pain from the past that still affects us or that creeps up on us unawares at times. It's frustrating that we can't change what happened, and in many cases we'll work out what we could have done instead to stop the situation becoming as bad as it did, but no amount of analysing the past ...
