Daily Card Draws.

The final card from The Faeries' Oracle for a little while is The Glanconer. This picture brings out mixed feelings in me; it's as though I'm not quite seeing him for what he really is and each time I look at the card something has changed. This relates to illusions, delusions and glamour- an allure or attraction that may not be quite as it seems to be. Even his name, Glanconer, makes me think of being “conned.” This card reminds us not to rush into making decisions if we're in danger of making them through lust or desire rather than taking our time and seeing the situation for what it really is. It's a bit like the cool off period when we buy something, and why it's so important to have it, particularly when cold callers come knocking at our door. They tempt us with special offers we can't refuse, so we sign on the dotted line, but then the next day we may wonder how we let them talk us into something that really wasn't right for us. This isn't saying we shouldn't try something new or make commitments, but just that we should be sure about what we're committing to. We need to know what we're getting ourselves into, see people as they truly are and not let the glamour deceive us.
